From KL Rahul’s 50 to Virat Kohli 33rd birthday, a lot of events took place during the clash between India and Scotland in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai. The clash began with the birthday boy finally winning the toss and opting to field first.
In the need to defeat Scotland by a higher margin and increase their Net Run Rate (NRR), Team India bowlers bundled the opposition out for 85 runs in 17.4 overs.
Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja clean up the Scottish side as they took three wickets each while Jasprit Bumrah takes two and R Ashwin takes one. After losing openers George Munsey and Kyle Coetzer to pacers, it was Jadeja who came and shook the middle order with two wickets in a single over.
Munsey (24) and Michael Leask (21) were the only players to score 20+ runs. Calum MacLeod (16) and Mark Watt (14) did try to help get the scores on the board but it did not help much.
Soon after the Scottish side was sent back to the pavilion, the whole of India was out with their pens and papers to calculate India’s hopes of staying alive for the semi-finals race.
As the rest of India was busy strategising on what and how to do, a photo of Hardik Pandya along with mentor MS Dhoni, batting coach Vikram Rathour and chief Ravi Shastri looking onto a piece of paper was captured at the innings break.
Soon the creative juices of the netizens started to flow as they came up with their own version of what could the Indian management be discussing.

As for the clash, openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma started the 86-runs chase on a positive note as they reached the target in 6.3 overs and won the clash by eight wickets.
India’s net run rate is above Afghanistan and obviously, New Zealand. However, this all would be useless if New Zealand win their match against Afghanistan.
