NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday recorded close to 3 lakh new cases in the last 24 hours pushing the nationwide tally of Covid-19 cases to more than 1.56 crore.
As per Union ministry of health and family welfare data, India recorded 295,041 new Covid-19 cases and 2,023 deaths in a day.
India’s overall case tally is now at 15.6 million, second only to the United States, which has over 31 million infections.
