Earlier in the day, police issued a press release stating that Amit Khanna, Manoj Mittal, Krishan and Mithun have been booked on charges of murder, tampering of evidence, criminal conspiracy and giving false information.

Police have, however, not levied the charge of murder on the other three accused i.e., Deepak Khanna, Ankush and Ashutosh. They have also imposed sections of Motor Vehicle Act on Ashutosh and Amit Khanna. Amit Khanna has additionally been booked on charges of rash driving and endangering life of others.

Metropolitan magistrate Sanya Dalal listed the matter for consideration and taking cognizance on the chargesheet on April 13. “It’s a bulky file and I would need some time to go through the same,” the magistrate observed.
