MUMBAI: Alleged bookie Anil Jaisinghani — an accused in the Rs 10-crore extortion case — was on Monday produced before a special court for his remand hearing, along with his daughter Aniksha and relative Nirmal Jaisinghani.
He was remanded to judicial custody.


Mumbai Police arrest bookie Anil Jaisinghani in Amruta Fadnavis bribery case

They were arrested for allegedly trying to offer bribes to Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fasnavis, and later demanding extortion money.
The special court refused the prosecution’s plea for further police custody of the duo.
Amruta had lodged an FIR at Malabar Hill police station on February 20.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh police has sought Anil Jaisinghani’s custody in a case registered there.
