BENGALURU: A gang of three has been arrested for allegedly burgling the house of an autorickshaw driver in Kamakshipalya on Thursday night.
The gang tied the driver, Nagesh, and threatened him at knife-point before taking away the valuables. The accused are Preetan B alias Appu, 21, Rajath C, 22, and Vijay Kumar HB, 19, of Sannakkibayalu in Kamakshipalya. The main accused, Praveen, Aftab, Bharath and Manoj, are at large.
Nagesh and a few accused were close friends. They knew Nagesh was keeping cash and gold with him. So, they hatched a plan to steal them and entered his residence late Thursday night. They assaulted Nagesh with a stone and fled with 30 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 35,000.
