Karnataka BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa detained by Lokayukta police in bribery Case | Bengaluru News – Times of India

BENGALURU: Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Madal Virupakshappa was detained by Lokayukta police in a bribery case on Monday evening.
Virupakshappa’s anticipatory bail application was rejected by the Karnataka high court earlier in the day.

The Lokayukta’s lawyer strongly objected to the bail application during the court hearing, and ultimately, the single-judge bench rejected the bail application.
On March 7, the high court had granted interim bail to the BJP MLA, accused A1 in connection with the KSDL tender process bribery case.
