NAGPUR: Chandur Bazar MLA and former state minister Bacchu Kadu met with an accident on Wednesday morning.
The accident took place when he was getting down from a vehicle to board another. Kadu was hit by a speeding two-wheeler.
“He has been admitted to a private hospital in Amravati city as he sustained serious head injuries,” said Amravati police.

The accident took place at Aradhana Chowk in Kathora Naka area of the city. Prahar activists and their well wishers rushed to the hospital as soon as they got the information about the accident.
Kadu had come to Amravati to attend a function. He was shifting from one vehicle to another at Aradhana Chowk on Kathira Naka.
Meanwhile, a speeding bike hit him. The impact was such that he fell down and his head hit the road divider.
His leg too was injured in the accident. He is said to be out of danger.
