MUMBAI: A 27-year-old man from Bhiwandi has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 25-year-old Mumbai woman to Bihar where he raped her, the police said.
The crime branch arrested Vaisaid Nisar alias Husaid who has been sent to police custody. The police are looking for his relatives – Kali Shaikh, Mutim, Shahjahan, Shabana and Mutim’s father.
The 25-year-old central Mumbai resident alleged that Shaikh had been stalking her online and physically since November 2021.
In January 2022, she had taken a train to go to North India when he allegedly made her alight at Jabalpur and took her to Bihar and Nepal.
