PANAJI: The crime branch of the Goa police arrested Mumbai resident Mangala Vishal Kuradkar, 40, for alleged possession of a narcotic substance worth Rs 50,000 in South Goa.
Police said that after verifying information obtained from a reliable source, a team was constituted to trap the accused.
“We conducted a narcotic and psychotropic raid at Benaulim and apprehended a woman who was found in illegal possession of five grams of variable quantity MDMA worth approximately half a lakh rupees in the international market,” superintendent of police (SP) crime branch Nidhin Valsan said.
Crime branch is conducting further investigation in the case.
