PUNE: The Sangvi police on Monday detained a 17-year-old youth after a Pimple Saudagar resident filed a complaint accusing the teenager of outraging the modesty of his minor daughter.
The youth has been booked under section 354 (assault of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 560 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
The Sangvi police said the youth developed contacts with the girl on a social networking platform.
“He lured her by sending his photographs in restaurants and with luxury cars,” the officer said.
The youth convinced the girl to meet her at her house. He touched the girl in an inappropriate manner and shot it in his cellphone.
When the girl objected, he threatened to harm her and her father too. The girl, on Monday informed her father about the incident.
