However, the number of slots approved by the Indian Air Force remains unchanged for now.

While the flight to Mumbai will start from March 26, the Varanasi flight will begin from March 30.
In the ongoing winter schedule, the same number of slots for the weekdays and on Saturday and Sunday had been approved for the airport. However, as the schdule went forward, some new flights were added. The total flight movements presently rests at anything between 185 to 192.
“International flights to Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok will continue in the summer schedule,” Dhoke said.
Airport sources said that with the new schedule to go till October 28, the empty slots were expected to be filled by the airlines. The airline operating the Bangkok flight stopped the sector more than a month back but has retained the slot.
