PUNE: As many as 63,971 (58.27%) seats remained vacant as of Wednesday at the end of the regular round three of the admission process to First year Junior College in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. There are 308 colleges under the centralised admission process with an intake capacity of 1,09,790 against which only 45, 819 have been admitted.
To be eligible for the special round, students can now fill up their part 1 or 2 of the online application form from Thursday up to Saturday.
The CAP committee will announce the allotment list on August 30 after which students can confirm their admission at their respective colleges between August 30 and September 2. Quota and bifocal admissions will also be done during this period as per the schedule uploaded on the official website.
Students must resubmit their option form or part 2 of the form to be eligible for special round. “Students can fill in minimum one or maximum 10 preferences in the option form. All restricted students will be considered in this round. However, the students need to keep in mind that the option forms of all students will be unlocked, everyone who wants to participate in the CAP special round needs to fill up and lock this option form again,” the official note said.
