NEW DELHI Former CBI director Ranjit Sinha died on Friday morning. He was 68.
It is believed to be a Covid-related death. He was confirmed positive for coronavirus on Thursday evening, according to some reports.
Sinha, a 1974-batch officer of the Bihar cadre was appointed CBI chief in 2012. Prior to that, he had been Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force, the Railway Protection Force and served at senior positions in CBI.
