MUMBAI: RTI activist Anil Galgali on Tuesday demanded frequency of buses on route from Nariman Point to CSMT in Mumbai during evening peak hours be not more than five minutes.
“If buses come at a longer interval, it leads to a huge crowd of nearly 50-80 passengers waiting for the next bus during evening peak hours. This includes Mantralaya staff and other office-goerswho pack the bus beyond capacity. This leaves many passengers without any space to move and causes a lot of discomfort,” he recalled his own journey on Monday.
Galgali said he has conducted a survey of the area and will share his own experience while petitioning senior BEST officials on the issue.
