NEW DELHI: After launching multiple foldable phones, Samsung is now reportedly working on a foldable tablet. An online report suggests that the company is planning to launch a tri-folding tablet soon.
According to a report by Lets Go Digital, the consumer electronics giant has registered for a trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The new trademark hints that Samsung is planning to launch a foldable tablet under its Galaxy Z Fold series.
The report also adds that the upcoming foldable tablet from Samsung is likely to be called Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Tab.
The report further mentions that the trademark application has been categorised as Class 9 by the company and it comes with the description ‘smartphones, tablet computers’. The company is expected to launch the new tri-folding tablet in the first quarter of 2022 and it is also expected that the device will come with S-Pen support.
It is said that the company will use ultra-thin glass to make the display of tablets.
Meanwhile, Samsung is all set for its third Galaxy Unpacked event for this year. The company has scheduled a new Galaxy Unpacked event for April 28 at 10 am ET (7.30 pm IST). In the teaser shared, Samsung mentions that it is the most powerful Galaxy device.
Samsung has not yet revealed what it will launch at the event. However, popular tipster Evan Blass revealed that Samsung is expected to launch the new Galaxy laptops. The Galaxy Book laptops are said to be powered by 11th generation Intel processors.
Some rumours also suggest that Samsung is working on a new Galaxy Book Pro lineup of laptops. These laptops are said to come with 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch OLED screens. The laptops are also expected to offer S Pen support.
