KOLHAPUR: Sangli police on Wednesday arrested a 48-year-old person from Umang Society, Talegaon-Dabhade area of Pune district for allegedly supplying the ‘poison tablets’ which were used to kill nine members of Vhanmore family from Mhaisal town of Sangli district.
Manoj Chandrakant Kshirsagar was caught by a team deployed to nab the accomplices of godman – Muhamad Abbas Ali Bagwan, the key accused in the case.
The police, from the house of Bagwan located at Solapur, had recovered the bottles which were used to prepare liquid poison by crushing the ‘poison tablets’, the contents of which are yet to be known.
Along with Kshirsagar, the police has taken three persons into custody. The hunt for the sister of Bagwan who transferred huge sum of money he had recieved from Vhanmore family.
Sangli’s court has sentenced Kshirsagar to police custody till July 8.
