Xiaomi launched Mi 11 Ultra smartphone in India at Rs 69,999, comes with dual display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Xiaomi has launched its most-expensive smartphone in India till date. Dubbed Mi 11 Ultra, the smartphone sports a ceramic design which gives it a premium look. Mi 11 Ultra is also the first Xiaomi smartphone to launch in India with an IP68 rating which makes the handset water-resistant.
Another first in the smartphone is dual display. This is Xiaomi’s first phone to launch with dual display. Mi 11 Ultra houses a 6.81-inch main display and a 1.1-inch secondary display placed on the rear panel.
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, the MI 11 Ultra will compete against the likes of Samsung S21 Ultra, Vivo X60 Pro+, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The company has used Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on both the front and rear panel of the smartphone that gives it a rugged build. The Mi 11 Ultra comes in two colour variants — White and Black.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Price and availability
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra comes with a price tag of Rs 69,999. The smartphone is likely to go on sale soon, though the company has yet not revealed the exact date. It is already confirmed that the smartphone will be available online on Amazon India and mi.com websites.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra specifications
The high-end Mi 11 Ultra comes with a 6.81-inch WQHD+ main display with 1440×3200 pixel resolution. The smartphone also houses a 1.1-inch secondary display placed on the rear panel. The main display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and the display is protected with a layer Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top.
The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 12. The company has also confirmed that that smartphone will receive an Android R update. The flagship smartphone is powered by the most-powerful octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 12GB RAM
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra sports a triple rear camera setup which consist of a 50MP main sensor with f/1.95 aperture, 48MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 48MP telephoto lens with up to 12x digital zoom. The rear camera is capable of recording 8K videos at 24fps and 4K videos at 60 and 30fps. The front is home to a 20MP selfie shooter with f/2.3 aperture. Users can also capture selfies using the rear camera, thanks to the secondary display.
The smartphone comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and IR blaster. The handset also features stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon.
The Mi 11 Ultra is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The smartphone also offers reverse wireless charging functionality.
