Mane left the Premier League club Liverpool after helping the side to reach Champions League glory in 2019 and the Premier League title in 2020. He won the Club World Cup (2019), FA Cup (2022) and Carabao Cup (2022) with Liverpool. During his time at Anfield, he scored 120 goals in 269 games in all competitions.
Mane scripted history for his national team, becoming Senegal’s all-time top scorer earlier this month. He achieved the feat during an Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Benin, where he netted all the goals in Senegal’s 3-1 victory.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica for a fee worth upto 100 million euros. The 22-year-old Uruguayan Nunez will replace Mane at Anfield. Salah will remain with Liverpool for at least one more season. The club has also signed Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay.
